Swatch Grid Under Window Glare
A taped swatch grid tries to steady the wall, but the window’s glare washes right through it. The room divides itself into temperatures: daylight flattens the plaster, the laptop’s blue glow stains the desk edge, and a lamp gathers warmth where the table meets the corner. Nothing is dramatic, yet everything is slightly off—rug border, chair angle, rectangles that don’t quite agree. The painting treats this as evidence: a space still holding the shape of attention after the person has gone.
