Water Waiting Beside the Glass

The glass has fallen, but the water continues to remember its upright boundary. Nothing spills. The towel keeps its weight, the soap waits in its dish, and the worn table receives ordinary afternoon light. Only containment has loosened. By placing vessel and contents side by side, the room makes separation look less like an accident than a quiet domestic decision.
